ABOUT NLNU
About
The Newfoundland and Labrador Nurses’ Union (NLNU) is the official trade union for registered nurses in Newfoundland and Labrador. We represent over 5,400 members in forming a strong, unified voice for nurses working in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Our Vision
The Newfoundland and Labrador Nurses Union
How we are governed
NLNU’s Biennial Convention is the main governing body of NLNU. Held every second October, it presents members with an opportunity to raise and debate important issues, amend the NLNU Constitution, as well as set the direction for the NLNU Board of Directors for the coming two years.
NLNU’s board governs NLNU between conventions and meets a minimum of four times per year. The president, in consultation with the executive, directs the union between board meetings.
Members can access NLNU’s Constitution on the members-only website, myNLNU.
